Lawyer Referral Service Seeks Volunteers for Public Service Outreach
Volunteers are needed for ASK A LAWYER (AAL) sessions scheduled for 2012 at area libraries in New Haven, Branford, Northford, North Branford and East Haven. The purpose of Ask A Lawyer is to provide members of the community with general legal information; an attorney meets with the participant and provides a free 10-15 minute consultation. If the individual requires additional assistance, they are referred to a social service agency or an LRS attorney. Should you wish to keep the client for yourself, you may (our way of saying "thank you" for volunteering), with the understanding that the client is an LRS client and is subject ot the rules, procedures and 15% fee requirement of the program.
Dates & times for all scheduled sessions are available HERE. More information about the Ask A Lawyer program is available on the Lawyer Referral Service page. Please check your calendars and contact Martha at NHCBA to sign up. THANK YOU!
