Most of the New Haven County Bar Association’s programs and activities are planned and implemented by its members through committee work. The NHCBA’s 23 committees accommodate a wide range of member interests. Committee participation is free and is open to all members of the association.
Addresses issues relating to consumer and business bankruptcy with a particular emphasis on the rules and procedures of the New Haven Bankruptcy Court. Established and monitors a court approved volunteer-based mediation program with the New Haven Bankruptcy Court. (Mediation application can be found under Legal Links on this website.)

The NHCBA is currently celebrating 100 years since receiving its Charter in 1907. A historical exhibition, "The New Haven Bar: From the Colonies to Today" is now on display at the New Haven Museum and Historical Society, and a related commemorative history book will be published in Fall 2007.
