Nominations (including self-nominations) are now being accepted for members who would like to be considered for a three-year appointment to the NHCBA's Executive Committee (board of directors). This group meets monthly at lunchtime and provides oversight for the NHCBA programs, committees and community outreach efforts.
The Nominating Committee is also accepting nominations and self-nominations for the office of Secretary. The Secretary shall keep a written record of the Minutes of all meetings of the Executive Committee and of the membership and perform such other duties as shall be required by the Executive Committee. The Secretary is responsible for, but may delegate, all official notices circulated to the membership. This is a leadership track position.
Interested members should please nominate/self-nominate by submitting an e-mailed letter of interest and one's resume or nominee's resume to Immediate Past President, Sung-Ho Hwang, c/o the NHCBA office at NHCBAinfo@newhavenbar.org by Friday, July 18th.
Each year the Nominating Committee, chaired by the immediate past president, meets during the summer to review and recommend candidates for officer positions for the upcoming year as well as new board members and committee chairpersons. Traditionally, officers are selected from the Executive Committee, and committee chairs are appointed after active participation on a committee. However, if any member would like to be considered for one of these positions, please submit a letter of interest and resume to Attorney Hwang and you will receive full consideration.
