The NHCBA holds panel on a career in the legal profession

On Monday, April 3rd, Elwyn Quirk, Esq. of The Law Office of E.B. Quirk in Meriden, LLC and Scott Leventhal, Esq. of The LoRicco Law Firm in New Haven will host a Law Career Day for Cheshire High School students from 9:30-12:30pm. The panelists include The Honorable Matthew J. Jalowiec, Cheshire-Southington Probate Court Judge; Gina Killian, New Haven Superior Court, Assistant Family Clerk; Michael Durkee, Sergeant, Cheshire Police Department; The Honorable Kenneth L. Shluger, Superior Court Judge, New Haven; John Doyle, Senior Assistant State's Attorney, New Haven (and Cheshire Resident) and Joseph Lopez, Attorney in the Public Defender's Office in New Haven. There will be a brief discussion by each panelist on their work in the legal profession before a detailed discussion on how the panelists chose their field of work, the obstacles they faced along the way and any advice they have for students with an interest in following in their footsteps. A Question & Answer Period for students and an NHCBA provided lunch will conclude the program.
