The New Haven County Bar Association’s 110th Annual Meeting, held at Anthony’s Oceanview in New Haven on October 12, 2017 had a sellout crowd. It was a beautiful evening of fall weather for an extended cocktail reception outside, followed by a program of celebration, acknowledgement and renewed dedication to this Bar. Members committed once again to our shared values and interests in furthering the depth of the history and relationships in this legal community for the future lawyers of New Haven County.

Attorney Thomas Ullmann received the Yale Sappern Civility Award and Judge Thomas Corradino received the Lifetime Achievement Award. An exceptional group of attorneys were honored for fifty years of practice. Bill Clendenen, Richard Feldman, Hugh Keefe, Anthony Nuzzo, Carl Porto, Hon. Jonathan Silbert, Jim Whitney and John Williams all became fifty-year honorees of the Bar. The past year’s executive committee and committee chairs were acknowledged and new officers were installed for 2017-18: Stephen Murphy, Jr., who succeeded Rowena Moffett as President, with David Vegliante as President-Elect, Giovanni Spennato as Treasurer and Shari-Lynn Cuomo Shore as Secretary. Michael Leone succeeded Steven Jacobs as President of the Foundation of the New Haven County Bar and Elizabeth (Liz) Holman became president of the New Haven Young Lawyers.

Thank you for attending. We look forward to a spectacular 2017-2018 year!
